After enjoying a cooked breakfast at your hotel, you will be collected for a half day sightseeing. 

Travel through the city center, including Auckland's famous Queen Street, Karangahape Road with its checkered past and eclectic vibe and fashionable Ponsonby. Cross over the Auckland Harbour Bridge, enjoying views of the Hauraki Gulf and city skyline, and visit the Viaduct Harbour and the revitalised Silo Park waterfront precinct. See historic buildings around the University of Auckland before continuing over Grafton Bridge to the Auckland Domain. The Domain is the city's oldest park and, at 75 hectares, one of its largest. Developed around an extinct volcano, it features tropical gardens, duck ponds and public art, and is home to the Auckland War Memorial Museum. After visiting the Domain, the tour continues through the boutique shopping area of Parnell Village.

Te Puia Guided Tour
Duration: 90 minutes
Te Puia is New Zealand's living Maori cultural centre, situated in the Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley. Te Puia's 60-hectare site is home to the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute, a live kiwi enclosure, the world-famous Pohutu Geyser, and more than 500 geothermal wonders. With land steeped in ancestral history, and a guiding legacy that stretches back to the 1800s, Te Puia offers unique hospitality and rich cultural heritage.
Enjoy a Te Puia experience, Steambox offers you a taste of the past. Since the earliest settlement within Te Whakarewarewa geothermal valley, people have cooked using the steam and hot water naturally available within the thermally active landscape. Steambox utilises a favourite Nga Wha (steam vent) Puapua, which is located in the geothermal area that is the backdrop to the famous Pohutu Geyser.
You will choose what you want cooked for your lunch before heading off on a special guided tour of Te Puia. This begins with an interactive session learning to weave a flower and a tour of the carving and weaving schools. Heading down into the geothermal valley, to the Kiwi house, mud pools and hot springs, the tour concludes when, after watch your lunch lifted from the Nga Wha.
Enjoy your steam box picnic lunch on the geyser terrace.

Depart Rotorua and Head To Taupo! 

Upon concluding your breakfast at the hotel, you will depart Rotorua for Lake Taupo.
Near Taupo, we will pass the Huka Falls, where the Waikato River enters a shallow ravine of hard volcanic rock, turning it into a torrent of raging water.
Stop and enjoy a leisure walk alongside the river to the falls. The beautiful Lake Taupo is about the size of Singapore - more of an inland sea really.
Taupō was created nearly two thousand years ago by a volcanic eruption so big it darkened the skies in Europe and China.
Just north of Taupo you'll find New Zealand's most visited attraction, the magnificent Huka Falls, where more than 220,000 litres of water thunder over the cliff face every second.
Located on the edge of Lake Taupo, New Zealand's largest lake, Taupo is a pretty town renowned for its trout fishing, the Huka Falls, and the Wairakei Geothermal Power Station. On a clear day, stunning views across the lake of snow-capped Mounts Tongariro, Ruapehu and Ngauruhoe can be enjoyed and its close proximity to these Mountains in winter makes it a great place to base yourself if skiing.

Maori Rock Carvings Tour (Mine Bay)
Duration: Approximately 4 hours
Beginning in the sheltered waters of Acacia Bay, come out with us and explore the secluded Rock Carvings at Mine Bay.
Paddle below native bush, past steep cliffs and mini inlets that kayaks can only harbor into at (Whakamoenga Point) before the striking carvings (14 meter-high) come into view. Your experienced guide will captivate you with fascinating stories and legends behind creation of the carving's and their cultural significance to the lake and surrounding areas while you float beneath them inches away in awe.
On our return we stop at a beach or harbor into the flat rocks at Whakamoenga Point for delicious muffin & refreshments, where you can take the opportunity to do some rock jumping or go for a swim in the crystal clear waters of our beautiful lake.
Otherwise relax and listening to the sounds of native birds, while taking in the magnificent sight of the Tongariro National Park's 3 volcanic mountains across the southern side of the lake.
On our return if the breeze comes up, we can raft our kayaks together and sail back-bliss! No experience is necessary, as all our trips are guided and full tuition and instruction is given. Our double kayaks are safe and easy for everyone to use.

Enjoy your breakfast and meet your coach captain at the hotel for a Wellington city sights tour.
Wellington is New Zealand's capital city and the southernmost city in the North Island. Surrounded by hilly terrain and with a stunning natural harbor, the city offers plenty of things to see and do for families and independent travelers alike.
Natural attractions in Wellington include Mount Victoria, the Botanic Gardens (best accessed by Wellington's iconic Cable Car (** Own Expense**) and Zealandia native wildlife sanctuary.
Wellington is also home to Te Papa, the national museum and art gallery. Situated on the waterfront, Te Papa has several floors of fun hands-on exhibits that show off New Zealand's natural, cultural and social history, as well as hosting international exhibitions.

You will be transferred to Christchurch Train Station to join your TranzAlpine train to Greymouth. 

Tranz Alpine Rail From Christchurch to Greymouth 

Report to Christchurch Train Station 20 minutes prior to departure.
Today you will board the TranzAlpine scenic train departing from one coast of New Zealand and arriving at the other. Your train journey is 223.8 kilometres long and takes just four and a half hours. There are 16 tunnels, and 5 viaducts, the highest being the Staircase standing at 73 meters. 

From your carriage, you'll see the fields of the Canterbury Plains, beautiful gorges and river valleys of the Waimakariri River. The spectacular Southern Alps and the lushness of Beech rain forest. 

An open-air viewing carriage allows you to get even closer to the stunning scenery and provides many opportunities to photograph your favorite spots. There's a lot to look forward to before arriving at your destination. 

Upon arrival in Greymouth, your coach captain will pick you up then journey along the rugged west coast to Franz Josef.

Originally named Victoria after Queen Victoria of England, geologist Julius Von Haast renamed it Franz Josef, after the current Emperor of his homeland Austria. 

The Glacier is pale blue/green ice that has retreated and advanced many times over the years. 

A walk from the carpark to the Glacier terminal will give you some impressive views and an idea of the immense size of the Glacier itself. The township of Franz Josef is a small town based around the tourist and supply trade. 

Once your tour is completed, you will check into your hotel for the night.

Ancient Greenstone Trail Tour
After concluding your breakfast, you head out of Franz Josef and follow an ancient greenstone trail. View the sheer drop of Thunder Creek Falls and the grand sight of Mt Hooker, flanked on three sides by extensive glaciers. 

Travel over Haast Pass, marking a change from the rainforest marvel of the wild West Coast to the alpine scenery of the Southern Lakes. 
From here, you will travel further into Central Otago. View Lake Wanaka, where the shoreline is charmingly lined by poplars and willows, followed by the vivid blue waters of Lake Hawea. 

It is a day of gorgeous lakes, as after Hawea you will gravel over to Cromwell, situated next to the sparkling pristine waters of Lake Dunstan. Stop in at a local orchard for a taste of some of the town's delicious stone fruit then continue your journey to Te Anau. 

Te Anau Tour
Check in at The Real Journeys Visitor Centre Te Anau, located at 85 Lakefront Drive 20 minutes prior to departure. 

Cruise across beautiful Lake Te Anau, to the Cavern House. 

On arrival, learn about the caves and view fascinating displays. Your guides will then take you in small groups by path and small boats underground into the caves. 

Highlights include incredible limestone caverns, whirlpools, waterfalls and the magical glow-worm grotto. 

After, you will return to Te Anau. This tour is not suitable for wheelchair passengers or for heeled shoes. Steps are involved.
Thereafter, you will once again check in at your new accommodations.

Whatever the fiord's mood, teeming with rain or with sun glistening on deep water, it will inspire you.

Depart from the Milford Wharf aboard the Milford Sound Cruise, and cruise the length of Milford Sound to the Tasman Sea. 

Explore many points of interest including waterfalls, rainforest, mountains and wildlife. Upon reaching the open sea, subject to weather and favorable conditions the sails are hoisted for a period.
